Roberta Schwartz at Houston Methodist just published a news article on Virtual Nursing that Blakester mentioned in the general slack channel that we’re featured in so I wanted to send out the link to that article and video: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/how-a-houston-hospital-reversed-the-trend-of-nurses-leaving-the-profession

How a Houston hospital reversed the trend of nurses leaving the profession
There are more than five million nurses in the U.S. and a survey shows nearly a third of them are thinking of quitting. That would be a devastating blow for patients and hospitals. William Brangham reports on efforts to turn the tide for our series, Critical Care: The Future of Nursing, in collaboration with the Global Health Reporting Center and with support from the Pulitzer Center.

Some interesting takeaways:
They start showing a consult taking place on our platform at the 2:12 mark
Each time a Virtual Nurse does and admit/discharge they’re giving the bedside nurse 25-30 minutes back in their day
Houston Methodist had over 200 travel nurses prior to implementing Virtual Nursing and now they no longer are using travel nurses
Staff turnover has returned back to pre-pandemic levels
